Coach Searcy has been part of the Dashers Track program ever since its induction into the Ozark Association in 1984. His father, Bernard Searcy and Aunt, Joyce Blount, joined forces with the Illinois Track and Field Hall of Fame Coach John E. Davis. In 2002, Coach David Searcy took over the reigns.

Being a former USATF/TAC National Champion, AAU National Champion, National Record holder, IHSA All-State Hurdler and Sprinter, Coach Searcy brings experience along with a USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification.
